The MLB playoffs are underway with the Tampa Bay Rays as the American League’s No. 1 seed continuing their journey to the ALCS (American League Championship Series). As for the National League the No. 1 seed for the National League, the Los Angeles Dodgers have also made it to the NLCS (National league championship series.
Joining the Rays in the ALCS is the No. 6 seed Houston Astros after defeating both the No. 2 & 3 seeds. In the National League the No. 2 seed Atlanta Braves have made it to the NLCS to face the Dodgers. Currently writing this, the ALCS, Rays hold a 3-0 lead against the Astros and as for the NLCS, the Braves are leading the Dodgers 2-0 in the series.
The Rays are one game away from making it to the World Series for the second time in franchise history. The Rays went back in 2008 but lost to the Philadelphia Phillies. As for the Braves, if they were to continue their journey and happen to win the NLCS then it would be their first time back to the World Series since 1999. If the Braves happen to also win the World Series, it would be their first time winning it since 1995.
If the Astros do manage to come back and win the next four games to beat the Rays 4-3 then it would be their second World Series appearance in a row and their 3rd in the last four years. As for the Dodgers who are also down in the series if they manage to come back to win the series it would be their first time since 2018 but also would be their 3rd appearance in the last four years.
