Built for training sessions
An interval timer switches automatically between work and rest phases. Each phase has its own colour – green for work, blue for rest – and its own sound, and the last three seconds are counted down with short beeps. You always know where you are without touching your device.
How to set up a workout
- Tap a preset (Tabata, HIIT, EMOM, boxing, run/walk) or enter your own values.
- Get ready is a lead-in so you can get into position. Set it to 0 to skip it.
- Work and Rest are in seconds; Rounds is how many work periods you will do.
- Press Start. The total workout time is shown under the clock.
Popular interval formats
- Tabata – 20 seconds hard, 10 seconds rest, 8 rounds: four minutes that feel much longer.
- HIIT 40/20 – a common circuit format with enough rest to keep good form.
- EMOM – every minute on the minute: do the reps, rest for what is left of the minute.
- Boxing rounds – three-minute rounds with one minute of rest, just like competition.
- Run/walk – the classic method for building up to longer runs.
Need to time laps instead of fixed intervals? Use the stopwatch.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between HIIT and Tabata?
Tabata is one specific HIIT format: 20 seconds of maximum effort followed by 10 seconds of rest, repeated eight times. HIIT is the general term for alternating hard work with recovery.
Are my settings saved?
Yes. The last work, rest and round values are remembered in this browser.
Can I hear the signals with the screen locked?
Keep the page open and the device awake. On phones, the screen is kept on while the workout runs if your browser supports it.
